Paul Vanderpool Jr., the chef at the Urban Pear in the Glebe sent me the new summer menus for his restaurant, to which I alluded at the end of my May 28 review of the restaurant.
I faulted the lofty prices of the Pear’s dishes, among other things, and so it’s good to see main courses at dinner are now considerably more affordable. All dinner mains but one are between $20 and $30, whereas previously almost all mains were at least $30 and the priciest lobster main course was much as $55 or $60.
